What We’re Building

We're building an educational platform that allows users to consume and engage with our content, in form of videos, articles, and comments.

Your Responsibilities

• Own the development and rollout of an entire product or large project.
• Scope development effort, write tech specs and identify risks before starting major projects.
• Provide reliable resource and timeline estimates with measurable goals and meet them.
• Break large requests down into sub-tasks.
• Review code changes.
• Monitor product quality.
• Set standards.
• Perform performance and scalability analysis as needed.
• Be a role model to engineers and inspire a high technical bar and expectations for the team.
• Champion a process-driven development environment (Scrum, TDD, etc).
• Make it your mission to reduce complexity.
• Write automated unit tests.
• Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
• Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Your Skills and Experience

• Proven expertise in software design, architecture and software and system interrelationships.
• 3+ years of PHP development (5+ yrs preferred)
• Deep knowledge of Laravel, VueJs and MySQL
• Advanced knowledge of modern HTML and CSS
• Exceptional sense of situational balance for unit testing coverage, - - - - Continuous integration/deployment.
• Experience with AWS or similar cloud computing environments as well as experience in defining and delivering cost-effective, agile, robust and secure technology solutions.
• Experience working in an agile development environment.
• Experience with Git, continuous integration and deployment tools.
• Experience writing unit tests.
• Ability to negotiate and navigate challenges, explain technical considerations and recommend solutions.
• Comprehensive understanding how all the pieces fit together (front-end, database, network layer, etc.) and how they impact the performance of your application.
