Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with data scientists, software developers and engineers to design and evolve our existing infrastructure.
• Design, build, and maintain our ETL pipelines to support analytical database needs.
• Architect, develop, and manage our data infrastructure.
• Maintaining and administering best practices for Cloud data warehouse and Data Lake.
• Review system capabilities and evaluate for efficiencies and improvements.
• Evaluate, recommend, plan, and execute the integration of new functionality, business processes and data into existing applications environment.
• Architect solutions that help automate the processing and manipulation of the data and information into usable streams for our customers.
• Facilitate demonstrations, proofs of concepts, and presentations.
• Architect new Cloud-based data pipelines.
• Bring together multiple data sources into a unified data warehouse.
• Apply analytics and visualizations to data sets.
• Strategic planning for Cloud data.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Math, Business Systems or Information Systems or related field (or equivalent work experience) necessary.
• 5+ years data engineering experience.
• 3+ years Cloud technologies including Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage.
• 3+ years Git, SQL.
• Experience with big data concepts (analysis, extraction, schema, lineage, etc.) for data sets.
• Extracting data from multiple sources via APIs, scripting, ETL concepts.
• REST API development.
• Experience architecting and building Azure data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot ETL process as needed. Ability to identify bugs and apply fixes. Check data sanity and integrity by means of process audits.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills required.
• Team orientated with the ability to work and communicate effectively with users at all levels in the organization.
• Strong (English) oral and written communication skills necessary.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Ability to meet and coordinate multiple tasks and tight deadlines.
• Ability to function as a team member.

Preferred Experience & Qualifications

• Engineering degree, Microsoft Dynamics (D365) CRM and Power Platforms / Azure Fundamentals.
• Knowledge of Azure Data bricks and Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of reporting tools including Power BI.
• Knowledge of Python or Scala.
• Database schema design, calculated metrics, alerts, reports.
• Familiarity with C#/.NET, SQL, Python, R, Scala, and others.
• Experience with microservices applications and Cloud-based services, data lake concepts for landing, refining, and analyzing data.
• Skills in leadership, managing through influence, relationship management, and presentations.
• Ability to work with BA, PM, other stakeholders at all levels.
