Job Description

We are looking for a React Native developer interested in building great mobile applications. You will be responsible for architecting and building these applications, as well as coordinating with the teams responsible for other layers of the product infrastructure. Building a product is a highly collaborative effort, and as such, a strong team player with a commitment to perfection is required.

As a developer you will...

Develop applications for Ministry of Programming and for our partners
Code-review your teammates
Write stories (use cases, technical and functional requirements), tests and code
Translate UI/UX wireframes into clean and efficient Sass/CSS
Help guide clients towards effective solutions that balance technical requirements and business needs
Attend development meetings (stand-ups, kick-offs, retrospectives) and design sessions with teams and partners
Inspire fellow colleges, future clients, our students/interns, and the community at large by writing, speaking, contributing to open source software, and demonstrating our collective expertise and experience

As a candidate, you...

Have experience with React Native iOS or Android
Possess strong JavaScript development and debugging skills
Are proficient with a JavaScript framework (e.g., React, Vue.js, or Angular)
Have a passion for helping others and have the ability to communicate with a wide range of people

You might also...

Have shipped applications to the App or Google Play Stores
Have created APIs that conform to the JSON API spec
Have interest in native mobile development (e.g. Swift/iOS, Kotlin/Android)
Enjoy teaching others and can clearly describe complicated software to your fellow developers
Have a passion for speaking publicly or blogging regularly
